Seasons is adjacent to the Fetzer Institute’s administrative offices. Overnight guests stay in one of four buildings, each containing six private rooms. Groups convene at the Meeting House, a short walk down an uncovered path from the lodging units. The Meeting House is accessible with room keys at all times. A copy machine and fax machine are available in the coat room. Guests are welcome to stock their rooms with beverages and snacks form the lower-level pantry. Breakfast items are also available in this location. Areas of the Fetzer Institute available for guest use include the Meditation Room, Fitness Center, Reading room, Commons, and display areas. The Guest Office is located just inside the rear entrance and contains two PC work stations. Room keys will admit guests from 6 am – 9 pm.
Accommodations Rooms are furnished with a queen-size bed, desk, and a reading chair. A clock radio/cd player with MP3 Player input, coffee maker, mini-fridge, umbrella, hairdryer, and toiletries (no television) are available. Handicap rooms are available upon request. Smoking is expressly prohibited in the lodging rooms, balconies or on the paths. Guests who smoke are encouraged to stay offsite. An outdoor smoking area is located at the north end of the Meeting Room.
Dress We recommend layering and casual dress due to Michigan’s varying temperatures. Bring appropriate footwear if you wish to use the wooded paths. A map of the grounds is located on the wall outside the Fitness Center in the administration building.
Contacting Seasons Guests Guests obtain their room’s direct line upon arrival. Each room is equipped with voice mail. Guest messages, faxes, or mail received during business hours are placed on the foyer table. After 5 pm or on weekends, nonemergency messages are relayed via voice mail or placed on the foyer table in the morning. Emergency messages left after hours are delivered immediately.
Transportation From the airport to Seasons: Courtesy Limousine will meet you at the baggage claim area; the driver has your flight details and will monitor delays or schedule changes. From Seasons to the airport: We arrange transportation back to the airport approximately 90 minutes prior to flight time. Please return to the reception area 5-10 minutes before you are scheduled to depart. Guests leaving outside business hours are asked to depart from the back entrance (rear parking area).
Arriving During Business Hours Proceed to the reception area of the Fetzer Institute where Guest Services staff will provide a welcome orientation, then provide escort to your room.
Departing During Business Hours Proceed to the reception area of the Fetzer Institute 5-10 minutes prior to your scheduled departure to drop your key and await the driver.
Evening and Weekend Arrivals If you arrive on the weekend or after 5 pm weekdays, proceed to the retreat center’s foyer where your key may be found on the table. Security personnel will be available to escort you to the room, if desired.
Evening and Weekend Departures Please leave your key on the foyer table in the retreat center and follow the rear walkway to the back parking area and meet Courtesy Limousine 5-10 minutes before your scheduled departure.
Changes in Travel Please notify Courtesy Limousine directly of the change (1.800.514.9064).
Technical Support Wireless access is available in each room and in the meeting house. Please refer to the reference sheet on the desk for configuration tips. Limited technical support is available during business hours only. A Guest Office is located in the retreat center adjacent to the dining room and contains a workstation. Two additional workstations (PC) are available for guest use inside the rear entrance of the Fetzer Institute and accessible after hours with room keys.
Presentations Please arrange meeting presentations in advance by contacting your meeting coordinator or the Guest Services Office at least two weeks prior to arrival. Presenters are encouraged to bring a back-up disc or flash drive of the presentation. Our laptops support a Windows XP PC platform and provide access to the Internet. If you are bringing a presentation to run on our system, you need only provide a CD/DVD or flash drive in one of the following formats: MS PowerPoint; MS Word, Exel 2000 or later; or Adobe Acrobat. Important Note: If you plan to give a Mac-based presentation, you must also bring a Macintosh laptop and appropriate video/adapter cable from which to run it.
