| Ground Rules for Comments and Stories |
|
We invite you to join our online discussions and to post your stories to loveandforgive.org. To maintain a respectful environment, we've developed some ground rules for participation. We do pre-moderate comments and stories. We ask that you abide by these rules and we reserve the right to remove comments or stories that violate these rules. 1. Be respectful. Please do not post anything rude, threatening, abusive, obscene, pornographic, sexist, homophobic, or racist. Do not malign, attack others, or engage in name calling. Whether you agree or disagree, be civil. After all, we're a love and forgiveness site. It's a good opportunity to practice some love and forgiveness before you respond to a comment you don't like. 2. Speak your mind, but please don't use obscenities. If you have the language to make a good argument, that should get your point across without resorting to profanity. 3. Respect others' privacy. When you tell a story, please avoid using full names or identifying attributes. 4. Stay on topic and keep comments to the point. If you really want to be heard, consider that your reader will appreciate focus, clarity, and brevity. 5. Advertising? No thanks. We love that you may have a great business, blog, or web site to share. If it fits well with the topics of love and forgiveness, please share it. If it's a blatant advertisement for a product, service, or web site that has little or dubious relationship to the campaign, we ask that you refrain from submitting it. Respect copyright and intellectual property rights of others or other applicable laws or regulations and don't post content that is not yours (please refer to http://www.copyright.gov/fls/fl102.html for fair use guidelines). |
